How to Install Your SimlyGo eSIM
Setting up your eSIM is easy. It takes about 2 minutes.
⚠️ Important Tip: You need an internet connection to install an eSIM. Please do this before you leave home or while connected to airport Wi-Fi.
📱 For iPhone (iOS)
Step 1: Add the eSIM
- Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
- Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
- Select Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code we sent to your email.
- Follow the prompts and tap Continue.
Step 2: Label Your Plan
Your phone will ask you to label the new line.
- Select "Travel" or "Secondary" (or type "SimlyGo").
- Tap Continue.
Step 3: Configure Settings (Crucial!)

Default Line: Select "Primary" (Your home number).
This keeps your personal number active for calls/texts. - iMessage & FaceTime: Select "Primary".
- Cellular Data: Select "Travel" (The SimlyGo eSIM).

Allow Cellular Data Switching: Turn this OFF.
(Prevents accidental roaming charges on your home SIM).
Step 4: When You Land
- Go to Settings > Cellular.
- Tap your SimlyGo line.
- Toggle "Turn On This Line" to GREEN.
- Toggle "Data Roaming" to GREEN.
- You are now connected! 🚀
🤖 For Android (Samsung / Pixel)
Step 1: Add the eSIM
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
- Tap Add Mobile Plan (or Add eSIM).
- Tap Scan Carrier QR Code.
- Scan the code we sent to your email.
Step 2: Confirm Installation
- Your phone will ask if you want to add this plan. Tap Confirm.
- Wait for the download to finish.
Step 3: When You Land
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
- Turn your SimlyGo eSIM ON.
- Tap Mobile Data and select the SimlyGo eSIM.
- Go back to Mobile Networks and ensure Data Roaming is turned ON for the SimlyGo line.
🆘 Troubleshooting
"My internet isn't working!"
- Check Roaming: Go to your eSIM settings and make sure Data Roaming is turned ON. This is the #1 reason for connection issues.
- Check Signal: Are you in the destination country yet? The eSIM will not connect to a tower until you arrive.
- Airplane Mode: Toggle Airplane mode ON for 5 seconds, then OFF to reset the connection.
