1. What exactly is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that is already built into your phone. It works exactly like a physical SIM card, but you don't need to insert a piece of plastic. You simply scan a QR code, and your new data plan is downloaded instantly.

2. When will I receive my QR code?

Instantly! As soon as your payment is processed, our system automatically emails you the QR code. Check your inbox (and your spam folder, just in case) immediately after purchase.

3. Will I lose my WhatsApp number?

No! This is the best part. You can use your SimlyGo eSIM for data (maps, browsing, Instagram) while keeping your original SIM card active for WhatsApp, iMessage, and emergency calls. When you open WhatsApp, just click "Keep My Number."

4. When should I install the eSIM?

We recommend installing it before you fly (at home or using airport Wi-Fi). However, do not turn on "Data Roaming" for the eSIM until you actually land in your destination.

5. Does my phone support eSIMs?

Most modern phones do! Here is a quick list:

  • iPhone: XR, XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and newer.
  • Samsung: Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, and newer.
